Frequently asked questions
Porcelain veneers or dental contact lenses — which one?
It depends on the case. Contact lenses are ultra-thin and ideal when almost no reduction is required. Veneers are slightly thicker and solve cases with larger color or shape changes.
How long does the treatment take?
Usually 3 to 6 weeks from planning to final bonding, with 3 to 5 appointments.
Do veneers stain or change color?
Porcelain itself does not stain and keeps its color for many years. The margin of the natural tooth can change color over time and is managed at maintenance visits.
Do I need to replace veneers periodically?
With proper maintenance, well-executed veneers last many years. Replacement is only needed when there is damage to the piece, the interface or the underlying tooth.
Do veneers affect the bite?
They should not. Every veneer is planned respecting occlusion and function. Final adjustment is essential for longevity.
